My photography journey began in 6th grade when a family friend gifted me with a film camera. I quickly discovered how much enjoyment I got from capturing the world around me. I went on to study photography at Temple University in Philadelphia and the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
At home, I enjoy playing music with my wife and daughters in our garage-turned-music-room or tending to our backyard garden.
I first discovered my love of photography while working as the photographer and editor of my high school yearbook. I went on to study Fine Art Photography in college, happily spending hours in the darkroom, watching my images come to life.
I graduated in 1999 with a BFA in Photography and continued with graduate work at San Francisco State University.
In my free time, I love spending time at our cabin in the beautiful Sierra Nevadas, backpacking with our family, or at home snuggling our golden retriever Buddy.
We met while working at a kids summer camp in the Sierra Nevadas. (Shout out to Camp Tawonga!) Both coming from photography backgrounds, we realized that wedding photography was the perfect fit for us to be able to work together doing what we love. After marrying in Yosemite Valley, we started our business in 2006 and have since photographed hundreds of weddings together.
We're an experienced team who understands the significance of capturing a once-in-a-lifetime event. Our goal is to document your wedding day story with artful intention, preserving these memories in a way that brings you back to the joy you felt on one of the most meaningful days of your life.
